New research suggests vaping may damage heart just as smoking does

  • Researchers performed tests on the vascular systems of more than 400 healthy adults aged 21 to 45 and vapers who vaped and have been doing so for at least three months.
  • Study participants who use cigarettes, e-cigarettes or both had stiffer arteries than those who did not smoke or vape.
  • Vapers cells also produced less nitric oxide, a sign the blood vessels may not be functioning normally.
