Shanghai Disneyland, the first major theme park to reopen after coronavirus pandemic, sells out opening day tickets within minutes.

  • Shanghai Disney has been closed since Jan. 25 as part of the Covid-19 shutdowns.
  • The park typically sees around 80,000 visitors per day. Operating at 30% capacity, as mandated by the Chinese government, about 24,000 visitors will be allowed into the park each day.
  • Disney will implement the government-issued Shanghai Health QR code, a contact tracing and early detection system that is used widely in China, and require all guests must wear masks throughout the park except while dining.
